What can you buy today for 1.3 trillion dollars?
The World Health Organization (WHO) World Health Report of 2002 reported that although 1.3 trillion was spent on health care in the US, we were number 1 in the world in usage of drugs, while we rank number 37 in performance and number 72 in level of health.
We may be best in the world in emergency medicine while losing the battle in health care and wellness.
We must recognize the limitations of Western medicine symptom-disease name- treat with suppressive medications. Approximately 90% of prescribed medications only suppress symptoms with no ability to cure or fix the disease.
Properly prescribed prescription drugs are now the number 4 cause of death in the US with every disease category increasing and even worse occurring at younger ages.
We also know that six of the top ten causes of death are diet related. We have also proven that you can’t buy good health from the doctor. Taking more responsibility for your own health and wellness is critically important. You have to build it. We need to look for more wellness options.
While using supplement alternative therapies is an excellent idea, there is still something missing in our attempts to improve wellness. Obviously, taking one of each from the health food store isn’t practical, so of thousands of products to choose, which do we use? The answer to that question is the reason for this newsletter. It is why now there is hope where medically there was no hope.
