Happy Hormones

What if you could wake up tomorrow without stress and with enough energy to do anything?

Happy hormones are necessary for regulating the function of every cell and organ (Endocrine System) in your body, and they work to maintain the hormonal balance necessary for true wellness.

Imagine the body handling stress, maintaining a positive stable mood, and even producing and regulating its own hormones to relieve PMS and menopause symptoms. This is achieved by supporting your body's ability to recuperate its own natural hormone balance.

Do the foods we eat affect the way we feel? Absolutely!
Anyone who has missed a meal appreciates the surge of energy and the feeling of well-being that a good meal provides.

But what about the effects of foods or dietary supplements on how we feel in a broader sense? Sometimes, responses to dietary changes may be obvious and rapid, such as improved energy level and a renewed sense of well-being.

How soon should I expect to experience the effects of dietary supplements?

Long-term, good health depends on a body built with healthy cells. The question then becomes, “How long will it take before my dietary changes build new, perhaps healthier cells?”

New Cells in the Body Are Being Created Daily

How often are new cells made? That depends on the type of cell. Our bodies are composed of about 200 different cell types. Only a few are never replaced. These “immortal” cells include auditory hair cells, heart muscle cells, and nerve cells.

What about the rest of the cell types? The table below provides lifespan information for some of the remaining 197 types.

LIFESPAN OF SOME CELLS OF THE HUMAN BODY

    CELL TYPE                                                         LIFESPAN

White blood cells (Granulocytes: eosinophils,
basophils, neutrophils to fight infection)              10 hours - 3 days

Stomach lining cells                                               2 days

Sperm cells                                                             2-3 days

Colon cells                                                              3-4 days

Epithelia of small intestine                                   1 week or less

Platelets (Help clotting)                                        10 days

Skin epidermal cells                                              2-4 weeks

Lymphocytes                                                          2 months – more than a year (highly variable)

Red blood cells                                                      4 months

Macrophages (Fight infection and bacteria)       Months-years

Blood and lymph cells (Endothelial)                     Months-years

Pancreas cells                                                       1 year or more

Bone cells                                                               25-30 years

What does all of this mean? While some cells life span is short; others can survive for months or even years. So it can take months or longer before our changed dietary habits can profoundly affect our cells.

Summary

Some people experience a rapid response to dietary changes.

For many, however, dietary improvements must be sustained for at least a few months before cellular function can be expected to improve.

The Hormone Basic Nutrition Revolution

A regular dietary program of 5 key building blocks assures the healthy development and growth of new cells and protects the body against the relentless attack from stress, trauma, toxins and the toll of nutritional deficiencies.

The Optimal Wellness 5 Key Building Blocks

This systems approach to wellness strengthens the body to properly regulate itself. This wellness option supports the body with the nutrients that are missing from our modern food supply. This option also contrasts with the conventional symptom/disease name/drug model of Western health treatment.

Basic nutrition is all about supplying the body with the daily raw material building blocks and nutrient tools to support normal cellular structure and organ function. The body is designed to take care of itself at cell and organ system levels (Endocrine System).

There are virtually thousands of nutritional supplements that can be potentially beneficial. There are only a small group of nutrients that are absolutely vital in your diet on a daily basis. It's when vital nutrients are missing in your diet that the body develops problems. At which point many things can be beneficial but not support optimal health or wellness.

There are 5 vital nutrient supplements that help provide the most missing or deficient nutrients necessary for optimal health and wellness (hormonal balance).

Building Block 1. Immune System (Glyconutrients): Immune System Modulator, Strengthener and Cellular Communicator

Glyconutrients increase cell-to-cell communication for all cells in the body. Glyconutrients provide building blocks to enable cell-to-cell communication and to support the immune system.

As a modulator, glyconutrients support your immune system.

As a strengthener, it will improve your NK (killer cell) function to protect you.

As a cellular communicator, it provides proper gland and organ function, including your immune and endocrine systems, and ultimately optimal wellness.

Also, there is evidence that new stem cells appear in the body once glyconutrients have been added to the diet.

Building Block 2. Endocrine System (Phytogenins): Plant hormone
support

For plant hormone support Phytogenins offer the raw materials for a woman’s body to manufacture hormones (regulators and modulators) needed for a strong body and balanced emotions. They will assist you under the most stressful of times.

Hormones regulate growth, energy metabolism, bones and tissue integrity, body rhythms, sexual function and health, and our sense of well being directly linked to emotional health.

Food supplement for hormonal health gives the body what it needs to build healthy hormones. PLUS is a proprietary blend of plant hormone modulators that support hormone activity and synthesis that your endocrine system uses to manufacture natural hormones.

It provides hormones and immune system modulation and overall glandular support (liver, adrenal, pancreas and pituitary).

Because we are exposed to so many hormone based toxins in our air, water and food, supplying the body with PLUS endocrine support is a great boon to hormonal regulation.

PLUS (Hormonal support nutrients for the endocrine system)  leads the market with one of the highest concentrations of natural plant-based Phytosterols and is designed to provide raw materials for the body to balance the hormones. Phytosterols are certain plants that contain hormone building blocks.

Building Block 3. Vitamins and Mineral Nutrition: Food Based for Maximum Absorption

Vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals are needed in your daily diet to build healthy cells.

When vitamins and minerals are delivered in a whole food matrix, the body is able to assimilate and utilize all of the nutrients available, compared to the minute absorption levels available from the typical isolate approach in most multiple vitamin and mineral formulas.

Balanced vitamin/mineral nutrients to feed the cells. Vitamins and minerals help assemble enzymes to build healthy cells.

Building Block 4. Protector Nutrients (Antioxidants): Nature’s Protectors

Protector antioxidant nutrients for the cells. Antioxidants protect the assembled cells.

Free radicals can cause significant damage to your cells. Antioxidants reduce free radicals which in turn reduces cellular damage. With less damage your body can stay healthy and balanced.

Production of free radicals is continuous and inescapable in today’s society caused by toxins and pollutants in our food and air.

How do we come in contact with free radicals? Stress, excessive exercise, radiation, sunlight, alcohol, margarine, cigarette smoking and second-hand smoke, nitrates in smoked and barbecued foods, peroxidized fats in meats and cheeses, deep-fried foods, chlorine in your drinking water, tiny particles of metals which get into your body through our air supply like toxic lead and cadmium, abnormal copper and iron.

Building Block 5. Fatty Acids

Essential fatty acids are very important vital nutrients with a multitude of functions. While they may be adequately supplied through a carefully planned diet, most people benefit from supplementation.

What Do I Do Now?

Well now that we've covered the basic nutrient categories, the question still may arise which company's products do I buy?

The purpose of this newsletter is not to recommend products from a specific company. Should you want to know the ones proven successful over the years of my practice please send me an email and I will share them with you.

Obviously, quality of life is what most people care about. Remember the definition of wellness is the quality or state of being in good health, especially as an active sought goal.

We have to shift our paradigm from the disease name sickness model to the wellness model. Your body doesn't get dumb and forget how to work, it is just operating with the daily nutrients you choose to supply, or not supply it with everyday.

I trust this newsletter has been thought-provoking.

I suggest that you become educated about the many elements in your lifestyle that affect hormonal balance. An educated consumer is an empowered consumer. I have just scratched the surface.

My experience with hundreds of people over the last eight years has proven that a common sense approach to nutrition works.

Try it. Your body will love you for it.

It doesn't work overnight. If your symptoms are severe, it may take several weeks for your body to restore itself. But most women feel a difference within two weeks, and this will give you the motivation to continue.

And when you stick with it, you may be surprised at how good you will feel. In a newsletter to come we will help you with a hormonal balance system customized to match the severity of your PMS or menopausal symptoms.

In another newsletter we will discuss in more detail about the 5 vital nutrients and the hormonal balance systems.

If you're not sure if a natural approach is right for you, we encourage you to try it to see how you feel!
